  1. Love to cook?
    By Colleen K.

Are you a cutie who loves to cook? Well Culinary Cuties is the class for you. This class is taught by Mrs. Fizz. The kids Aaron and Ella love her! Ella, age 6, says, “She is silly and nice.” Aaron, age 5 says, “She is my favorite teacher because of everything.”

So far in class they have made cheesecake, smores, soil surprise, peanut butter balls, salsa, parfaits, mac and rice krispies. Nothing the kids don’t like so far! My favorites are news navigators, poker, and tie dye. There are classes for every age and interests.

  3. Robots Rock
By Phillip G. and Jack W.

Have you heard about the latest Mindstorms NXT 2.0 by Lego? Did you know that a Mindstorms can see color, sense touch, communicate, measure how far away something is and hear noises. The robot is only made of Lego bricks and cables. You can make a color sorter, slingshot, humanoid, cars, and animals.

The 32-bit microprocessor computer is pre-installed with Bluetooth, a wireless way for computers and cell phones to communicate. They have improved the way the Mindstorms see color and the main computer. Our teacher, Mrs. Jorishie, explained that it is an amazing, innovate, high-tech toy.

"The NXT is a challenging, advanced, joyful high-tech toy for kids 10 or older who love building and computers." It comes with a software program to make your robot do more advanced movements. Ms. Lane stated, "The possibilities are endless. You can build outside the lines and make your own creation."

  4. Husky Adventures
    By: Jack W.

If I were an animal, I would be a Husky. When I was a puppy, my owner would always let me run freely in the snow. I was the youngest, but the leader. My parents were in the sled team, but they had me and were forced to stay at home. On my first day as a sled dog, the sky was as blue as a crayon and the snow is a cotton ball. My owner, Mike, was very impressed by my strength and I was the leader. The first race we entered, out whole team won first place. I was very tired after, so I acted even more exhausted so mike would put me at the back of the sled. That was my favorite place and I stayed there until at retired at 8 years old (56 dog years). I am now a joy to his kids and stayed around the house. Once we moved to Arizona, I discovered the pool and always swam with the kids. I have to go now and the kids are getting their swimsuits on.
